I took this photo on our way back to Cebu from Daanbantayan after we had our relief operations there.  We rode a pick-up truck and opted to sit at the back for fresh air thus we had an unobstructed (no car window) view of this.

It was bittersweet to see such a beautiful scenery amidst super typhoon Haiyan’s (Yolanda) devastation (note the broken coconut trees).

This succeeding photo is one of my favorite photos from this set. I love the golden skies and the towering trees.

Beautiful, but at the same time, haunting.
