Cebu: Casa Verde

Ambiance:  American-style casual dining.  I loved their wall where they feature travel memorabilia from all over the world.

I had their David Dean’s Tenderloin described in the menu as single USDA steak on top of a mound of mashed potatoes and topped with cheese.  It was served with brown sauce and garnished with fried onions and roasted almonds.

I requested for a medium well doneness but when I ate it, the meat was a little tough.  The fried onions lacked crunchiness but the sauce was terrific.  I loved their mashed potatoes too.

Members of our group also ordered The Mighty Ton described in their official website as a kilo of USDA tenderloin patty stuffed in their homemade 12-inch bun with all the trimmings of 125 grams of bacon, an overload of American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sautéed onions and mushrooms and paired with cheese fries (you can opt for barbecue or sour cream).

It was the biggest burger I’ve ever seen in my life!  It’s so big that our group of six girls could not finish it.  And to show you how big it was, here’s another photo.

The patty was delicious but the bun was too thick.  I loved the cheese and bacon though but did not like that the cheese on their fries coagulated that the fries were left unseasoned with it.
