I was sidetracked from logging out from work today when I saw just how dramatic the skyline looked…
Ever the sunrise and sunset-chaser, I always take the time to catch the sun rising or setting in my corner of the world, and I’ve seen Cebu sunsets in various shades of yellow and gold and orange and red, and even in hues of purple and pink, but never in such shades of fiery reds.
Looking at it now, I remember some lines from Passenger’s “Setting Suns.”
I felt like I was dreaming,
I’d never seen the sky so red
Gave me the strangest feeling
And a voice inside me said,All my life I’ve been chasing setting suns
See me running up the hill when the evening comes
They get further away the faster I run
I’m getting old and tired of chasing setting suns.
Let me say though, that while I feel I’m getting old (and I like to think in a positive way, te he), I know I will never get tired of chasing setting suns (or rising ones).
